I am an experienced and registered teacher, who has taught in the New Zealand public school system for 3 years and is closing in on the completion of 1 year teaching here in Korea. I have really enjoyed being immersed in the culture here, and would like to extend my stay.
Whilst being in Korea, I have found myself out of my comfort zone with respect to my speciality teaching areas, but feel as though I have developed into a proficient ESL teacher. I possess a large range of teaching tools and skills, which are highly adaptable and have been successful in teaching English here in Korea. My students have respected me, enjoyed the classes and most importantly, shown significant development in their English abilities under my guidance.
My philosophy towards life is based around life long learning, and always putting myself in a position so that this is possible. Usually for me, this involves some sort of challenge, more often than not physical, but an experience that allows you to learn and develop as an individual. My exposure to a vast range of experiences in the past has done this and made me more resilient, more positive and more patient. It has made me very enthusiastic about life, and these are the kinds of traits you will see exhibited on a daily basis from me as an employee.
