     I am writing to express my interest in working as a public school teacher.

     With my credentials and background, I believe I am qualified to work as an  English teacher in Korea. In addition to having one year’s worth of ESL teaching for GEPIK, I have a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies from the University of Oregon, 100+ hours in a TEFL program through Oxford Seminars, have worked over 4 years as an assistant instructor for a school gardening project at various elementary and middle schools in Eugene, OR, and have a very clear and concise grasp of the English language in both speech and grammar. I have also lived overseas in Italy for a few months and have no problem adjusting to a new culture.  Having worked with children over the years has taught me that patience and determination are the greatest virtues a teacher can have. I feel that I have the motivation, enthusiasm, and the know-how to go above and beyond the expectations of what would be asked of me as an English teacher.
