To whom it may concern,
For the past two years, I have worked diligently as a GEPIK Native English Teacher at Gumsang Elementary School in the Seongnam English Education Center to ensure that my students maintain a positive and rewarding experience studying English as a second language. I am hoping to secure a public or private position in Seoul working with elementary, middle or adult language learners. I prefer teaching morning shift and am hoping to start in September 2012. I have a dual degree in Linguistics and Psychology with a minor in English. In addition, I have extensive experience in developing thematic lesson plans, curriculums, and teaching materials geared towards students Grades 1st- 6th of widely varying English abilities.
One of the most effective ways that I assist ESL students is by developing engaging activities and games which encourage participation and teamwork. On a personal note, I have 6 years experience studying Korean and have achieved an intermediate knowledge of the Korean language. I believe that this experience as a language learner has driven me to become a compassionate teacher whom understands the process of learning a second language. As a result, I remain sensitive to students¡¯ unique needs and employ individual and group support, as well as offer positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated.
If you are interested in an experienced and dedicated teaching professional with the required credentials, patience and positive attitude, please give me a call. I am available for a phone interview weekdays after 17:30KST. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to a favorable reply.
Sincerely,
Christina Suarez |
