Teaching English in Korea first came to my attention when speaking with a friend who taught there. He told me all about his experience and how much he learned. I was immediately intrigued! I went home that night and started researching various countries as potential places to teach English. South Korea really stood out to me. I loved researching the people, culture, and geography. I love that South Korea has so much to offer in a relatively small space making it easier to travel all over the country. I read several blogs, websites, reviews, etc. and I instantly fell in love with South Korea. I recently graduated in May of 2011 with a BSBA in Marketing and Management and I feel I was one of the top business students enrolled in the Arkansas Tech College of Business. I was very involved with many College of Business organizations as well as others on campus. It was my involvement in undergraduate work that landed my next position as Interim Training Coordinator of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development. I am now ready to expand my knowledge in another place much different from what I am accustomed to.  I know that with my degree, experience in the College of Business, and skills gained from work experience this position is perfect for me.

Currently, I am a trainer (instructor) for a small business program in Arkansas in the United States. I teach seminars for small business owners in the area. I teach on a variety of topics ranging from How to Start a Business in Arkansas to How to Use Facebook as a Marketing Tool. I am sure this teaching experience will prove to be invaluable in South Korea. I am working on getting all of my paper work completed. I have ordered an expedited passport and I am now preparing to send off documents for my criminal background check. I would like to be in Korea near the end of July if possible. I understand that I do not have much time to complete all paperwork but I willing to do whatever it takes to meet this time frame.

I feel I am qualified and have much to contribute to the students and school I am placed in.  Thank you for your time and consideration.
