Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ Hello. My name is Noah Hoffman. I am an American who is currently living in New York. I worked at a Hagwon as a Conversational English Teacher in Anyang for one year. I primarily taught 1st and 2nd grade middle school students. It was not easy because most of them were very shy or afraid to make mistakes in front of their classmates. In addition, I was given very little literature to work with and taught them late in the evening but I was able to keep them interested, entertained, and coming back week after week. When I finished, almost all of my students spoke much better and much more comfortably.

Recently, I have been interested in being a career educator and realized during my year of teaching ESL in Korea that this is something in which I believe that I am well-suited for. Working at Kim Hyo Jung Academy was fulfilling in many ways and my abilities to relate my knowledge of the English language to my students showed fast results. On a side note, for one month of my year there, I taught 4th - 6th grade students in my school's elementary department and enjoyed working with them very much. I would be very interested in working with this age group again.

Teaching Mathematics in Korea is something that I would also like to do if possible. I have a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the State University of New York. I tutored high school students in SAT Math for one semester while I attended Saint Louis University. I have always excelled at Math throughout my lifetime and am fully capable of teaching SAT or AP classes.

Although I am in the States right now, I am ready to be immediately back on a plane to Korea and am ready to go to work. I have all of the necessary documents required to obtain a visa, including a passed medical check that I did in Seongnam back in June of this year. For the next few weeks, I will be in either Washington, D.C. or New York so I can easily go in person to the Korean Embassy or Consulate and hopefully speed up the visa processing.

Due to the invaluable experience of working and living in Korea and my past accomplishments, I am confident that I can be an asset to your company. I am responsible, diligent, and work extremely well with others. I will look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your consideration.
