I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and I have worked closely with children since 2001. In August of 2007, I left America and went to teach at GEC Incheon Seo-gu English Village, and I am hoping to return and teach in Korea once again. |

While working in Korea last year, I came to fully appreciate and enjoy all that the nation had to offer. Practicing Hapkido, going to church, and enjoying the food made me yearn to spend more time in this great country. My university study was Computer Science, however since 2001 I have worked closely with children and I enjoy it. I can relate to youth and they enjoy having me with them. If children are going to learn anythng, it should be with someone they feel comfortable with, and I am that person.
My abilities are not flawless, as I am known for being too nice. The style I work with is not to be too overbearing, or overwhelming with discipline. Usually I instruct the children with rules and inform them of what is and is not tolerated in my class, then there are fewer problems to deal with in the middle of a semester. It is usually helpful to have a partner that shares in my opinion of how to control students, and discuss how we can approach each class with higher goals before a lesson. |
