Hello, My name is Alan Meek. I am a 23 year old New Zealand / British dual citizen with a friendly and professional personality. I have been told I am a great person to work with and have got along well with all my colleagues in both the past and present.
I have been teaching in South Korea for 2 years within two different Hagwons in the Gyoungi-do area. Both Hagwons left me with an increased passion to continue teaching and I feel that every year my teaching skills grow stronger.
I am able to teach a fun and interactive English class to younger students but I also have very strong skills when I am teaching grammar and vocabulary to older students. I love the feeling of seeing my classes grow their English and communicate with me.
I have good lesson preparation skills and I can prepare lessons to a minute by minute level of detail. But I also have great spontaneous teaching skills as I can improvise and use the whiteboard or actions to explain material or implement activities.
Over my 2 years of Hagwon experience I have developed a large variety of learning activities which I am able to use in the correct circumstances.
I aspire to continue to teach well and enthusiastically overseas and further the reputation New Zealanders are creating for themselves in the rest of the world. I enjoy interacting with people of all ages and can see myself teaching for the next decade at the least. |
