To Whom It May Concern: I am a versatile young Canadian woman looking for a teaching position in Seoul or Incheon, Korea. I have worked as a teacher in various capacities, and in various corners of the world for 5 years. During the years 2009-2010 I taught English, violin, and music to Kindergarten students in Incheon, Korea. I really enjoyed my work in Korea, as well as the country itself, and for this reason I am looking for a second contract. In addition to my experience in Korea I have 3 years experience teaching violin to individual and groups of students (ages 5-adult). I also have experience phone teaching English as a second language to Korean elementary students (through a Montreal based company). Prior to my work as a violin teacher I tutored university calculus, worked as a care-provider for a special needs child, and worked 2 consecutive summers as an art and craft instructor at a children's camp. I recently volunteer taught English and computer skills part time in Chennai, India to lesser-privileged children. On top of my enthusiasm, and my love of teaching I have many skills to offer as a teacher. I have worked as a free-lance musician (violinist), and composer. During my work as a kindergarten music/English teacher I wrote beginner arrangements for young violin and cello students, and organized student concerts. I have a large repertoire of children's songs, and am able to engage young students through music. My ability to sing English songs, and play instruments with young students has proved to be a huge asset, inspiring interest in the English language through song. I love teaching, and I approach every new contract with a fresh and creative perspective. I am looking for any teaching contract in Seoul or Incheon, but I prefer kindergarten. I am available to start as of May 15th. Thank-you for reading, Respectfully, Cassie Norton |
