To whom it concerns,
I am a Korean born Australian citizen. I migrated to Australia when I was 3 years old and have lived there ever since. So, English is my primary language which I speak fluently. I can speak a little bit of Korean, as I spoke Korean to my parents when at home, but only the basics.
I have a bachelor¡¯s degree in business from the University of Technology, Sydney, majoring in accounting and economics. I am also near completion of my TESOL certificate IV.
I have come to Korea to learn about the culture first hand. I have a passion for teaching and sharing all my experiences with others, so teaching English to Korean people is one way of building up a network with them and so not only that I can teach them English, but that I can also learn from them.
I have experience in teaching elementary school students, tutoring them in English, mathematics and general ability, preparing them for the selective high school entrance exam, which is an exam to enter one of the top 30 schools in the state.
Also I have taught conversation English to elementary, middle and high school students, as well as adults in the corporate sector and business in general, as well as tutoring overseas students in IELTS, particularly for writing, for their preparations to enter tertiary studies in Australia.
I have also lead Bible study in my church for 8 years, ranging from middle and high school students as well as young adults, all in English.
Although my experience in teaching English per se may be limited, my experience in front of groups of all ages, and leading and teaching them in specific areas may prove to be valuable when it comes to teaching English in Korea.
I am a fast learner, disciplined and punctual and always driven to achieve in any field I am involved in. I love to be part of a team, whether it is for work or socially. I am outgoing and easy to get along with, and love meeting new people and challenges. I can assure you that you will get nothing less than my best.
