2010 – Attained post-graduate diploma of arts (PgDipArts) with a specialization in clinical psychology from Massey University, New Zealand. This is the equivalent of the 1st year of a Masters degree.
2008 – Attained a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) with a major in psychology and a minor in social anthropology from Massey University, New Zealand.
2004 – Attained NCEA level 3 secondary school certificate from Freyberg High School, Palmerston North, New Zealand.
Employment History
March 2008 – June 2010; Bar Manager at Centrepoint Theatre, Palmerston North, New Zealand.
- Was in charge of running the bar.
- Served food and drink to patrons as requested.
- Had to display solid customer service skills. Often acted as first point of contact for patrons coming into theatre.
- Had to display good time management, as job required many things to be done on short notice.
February 2005 – March 2008; General Labourer at Allied Labour Hire, Palmerston Nth, New Zealand.
- Casual shifts.
- Worked on various construction sites as general helper to builders and engineers.
- Learned to use a number of tools and machinery used in construction.
- Did some shifts as factory worker at a pet-food factory.
December 2003 – March 2005; Grocery Staff at New World supermarket, Palmerston Nth, N.Z.
- Assisted in the upkeep of the grocery department of the store.
- Made sure the shelves were always full.
- Assisted customers in finding what they were looking for, and answered questions regarding certain products.
