A wise old man once said to me, "Follow your heart my dear and an extraordinary life will follow". It took me 10 long years to understand what he meant, and now here I am, following my heart. Hopefully, an extraordinary life will follow. My original teaching goal was to go back to Long Beach State and get my Masters in Education specializing in Early Education but was quickly consumed by the idea of teaching English overseas. Amazing that such an option as this exists, combining life's two great loves; children and travel. How does anyone here in America stand to know of such an incredible opportunity as this and yet still sit at their desks plugging away at futile blunder? Not me. Not a moment goes by where I don't dream of myself standing in front of my Korean students teaching them the wonders of the world. The English world. So right now I dedicate my time with children in any way possible, tutor at any institution for the lowest wages, baby-sit, nanny, and volunteer, only to gain more experience before I actually have the honor of standing before my sea of knowledge seeking students. A truly good teacher feels it in their heart, not just in their heads.
