Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ Dear Sirs,

As a recent Business Studies graduate from the University of Limerick, Ireland, and having spent time working in an office environment, I felt the need for a different challenge. I first heard about teaching english to children as a foreign language in South Korea from friends who had graduated from university and took up teaching positions there. Everything I heard from them had been very positive, from the day to day job to living in Korea.

I have a sister who is now a prinicipal of an elementary school in my country, and I have discussed the possibility of a career in teaching with her. She has run TEFL(Teaching English as a Foreign Language) schools in the past, and she advises gaining experience in an environment such as this. I also have a sister in law who is an elementary school teacher, and I have spent time working as a classroom assistant with her. I found this to be a truly rewarding and enjoyable experience.

For these reasons, I pursued and found a position as an English Teacher in Korea, working at the ELL Academy in GanSeok, Incheon. I was fortunate to gain a wealth of experience at the Academy, teaching children from kindergarten to middle school levels. During my time working at the Academy I realised that teaching truly challenged and engaged me, and I found the work to be both extremely satisfying and stimulating. Therefore I wish to continue working as an English teacher, with a strong preference for a position in the Seoul city environs.
