Employment History

English Teacher, Wales English Academy, Incheon, South Korea. (September 2009 – September 2010)

· The academy had approximently 400 students from elementary school to middle school. The academy curriculum was used along with supplentary games and material which I produced.

· During this time I had to monitor each students progress against the cirriculum, grade students homework and administer exams at the end of each semester.

English Teacher, Incheon Metropolitan Education, South Korea (April 2007 – March 2008)

· During this time I taught at two elementary schools on Ganghwa Island. While working in Ganghwa I was required to complete a minimum of 22 hours of contact time a week using the public cirriculum. During this time I also taught extra classes to local kindergarten students.

· I learnt many new teaching and problem solving skills.

To whom it may concern,

I am a graduate of Otago University, New Zealand, with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology. I have a certificate in Teaching English as a Forgien Language. I also have two years teaching experience in South Korea. I plan to complete my high school teaching accreditation when I return to New Zealand.

I really enjoy teaching and have enjoyed teaching Korean students. I love having the oppurtunity to encourage students and increase their interest in learning. I have great communication skills and can relate to all students. I have also enjoyed learning the Korean language and culture and would like the opportunity to teach in Korea again.

I have one year experience at Wales English Academy, a private academy in Jakjeon, Incheon from September 2009 – September 2010. I also have one year experience as an Elementary School Teacher with the Incheon Metropolitan Education from April 2007 – March 2008. During these two years I taught kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students.
