To whom it may concern,
I am very interested in the opportunity to teach English in Korea. I have just recently graduated from the University of New Brunswick majoring in Marine Biology. I love kids and have involved myself in various situations that have cultivated a love for teaching.
I have supervised elementary school track meets, intramurals. I have also volunteered at the Greendell community centre winter carnival. I also helped coach a Junior B, young girls aged 12-14, Ringette team for 2 years. I have been babysitting for nine years. I worked for the Darwin School Parent Council babysitting on parent council evenings, watching over 6-10 year olds and I am currently working for a neighbour babysitting their 9 year old son. I have been working for my neighbours since their son was born.
During the second last semester of University I got the opportunity to teach a few classes to local elementary schools that had field trips to the marine research lab I was living and working at. I taught about the intertidal region and the organisms that could be found there. It was fun setting up the tanks to hold the animals, interacting with the children and watching the children experience marine life up close.
I have been working in Korea for the last 3 months and would love the opportunity to continue. I have been working with mostly elementary students as well a few kindergarten classes. I am excited to experience a culture difference from my own and to meet new people who share a similar passion for teaching and exploring the world and all it has to offer. |
