My name is Sunny Winkel and I am writing to express interest in becoming an English teacher in Seoul, South Korea. As stated in the attached résumé, my professional background includes experience in the fields of communications and marketing, through which I gained qualities highly applicable to a teaching position. While I have not undergone formal training in teaching, I have volunteered as an art teacher at a culture camp: where I taught and interacted with young adopted Korean children. At Northeastern University, I joined NUCALLS — a culture and language learning society where students teach other students. And it was here where I was able to teach American students how to read and write Korean at a beginners level, as well as share Korean culture through food and cinema outings. Moreover, at various internships — such as Bismarck Phillips and Travel + Leisure Magazine — my responsibilities included the training of new interns and even regular employees, in addition to creating and refining written guidelines. In addition to the information provided in the resume, I am in Seoul on an F4 visa and will be able to interview and start the position immediately.
