To whom it may concern:
I have enjoyed teaching students from kindergarten to twelfth grade. I am currently pursuing a job with students grade two or above and am interested in teaching adults, as well. I would prefer the students to have a basic knowledge of English as I excel at honing their grammar, usage, and speaking skills. I have helped students of many different levels of English with their reading ability. While I recognize the importance of academics in the classroom, I have also come to realize that behavior and attitude are essential components of any successful classroom. Students need structure and accountability for their accomplishments. Successes should be celebrated and negative behavior minimized.
The environment in Korea is different from American school systems, but I¡¯ve enjoyed learning about the Korean culture and have allowed my experience in living in an environment where English is the second language to better understand the struggles, difficulties and barriers that language learners face. I enjoy an environment that is flexible, but structured. Learning should be the constant and students should come first. I believe that all students can learn and they all have multiple intelligences, which can be utilized to help them grow in the classroom and beyond. I appreciate the time you took to consider me for the position.
