My name is Jill Thayer. I am currently searching for a position in Seoul. I am currently in Seoul and am available to begin work immediately. I have a great deal of experience in the field of teaching. I have had many positions where I was entrusted with the task of caring for children and educating them. I feel that my positive attitude and my zest for life make me a strong candidate for a teaching position. I am compassionate and kind and truly enjoy working with children of any age. I am energetic, enthusiastic and hard working. I feel that my outgoing nature enables me to teach students while capturing their interest. I am also responsible and I take the task of teaching children very seriously. I work very hard to ensure that each child understands and does not get left behind. I have worked at a hagwon in Korea for a period of two years. I taught intensive kindergarten in the subjects of math, science, social science, phonics, language art, physical education and art. I taught classes of 6-10 children aged 5-7. I was responsible for creating lessons each month as well as creating worksheets and other learning aids. Furthermore, I worked with special needs children in a one on one setting. I focused on enhancing existing skills and assisting the child in improving his reading, writing and phonics skills. I have also taught children in the 7-12 range. I taught grammar, vocabulary, phonics, reading, writing and listening classes. I prepared lessons, created homework sheets and tests. Furthermore, I created workbooks that comprised of vocabulary and comprehension questions. I also monitored the progress of each child via report cards every three months.
