Dear Hiring Manager:
My name is Stephanie Byer and I am an experienced teacher currently living in Busan. I currently hold an E2 visa with release form so I am able to start immediately. I have over one years¡¯ experience working with students of all ages from aged 6 to working adults. In my free time, I volunteer at a language café where I teach English to University students and working adults.
I believe a successful teacher is a teacher who is able to make a positive impact on a student¡¯s educational career. Knowing how to apply a supportive and understanding approach to individual student needs is vital in developing a helpful and encouraging environment to allow for second language learning. As a teacher, I am dedicated to the responsibility of creating a positive and stimulating environment to encourage participation and give the necessary confidence to my students. This will allow each individual to maximize their full potential with the English Language.
Teaching as a career combines both my education and personal values and experience. My university degree has broadened my understanding and appreciation of diverse languages and culture. My educational background encouraged me to participate in a foreign exchange program and to travel independently throughout South East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines). During this period I volunteered my time to tutor other foreign exchange students in their studies and to help them build a solid foundation in the English language. While traveling in Cambodia, I volunteered at a children¡¯s orphanage where I taught games to the children. I am a very open-minded, personable, enthusiastic and dedicated individual. I love challenging experiences because I find them to be the most rewarding. These attributes have facilitated my success in teaching English as a Second Language.
I have attached my resume for your further consideration. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Byer
