Experience                 

Hiking Specialist, Camp Walt Whitman – Piermont, New Hampshire (6/10 – 8/10)
· Lead campers aged 7-15 on daily hikes, difficulty dependent upon age and skill level, throughout the White Mountain Range.
· Organized and prepared food and gear for, then lead, three to five day traverses for upper campers in the White Mountains.
· Created and maintained satellite phone functions and safety protocol for the Camp Craft program. 

Foreign Language Teacher, Hebei University of Science – Shijiazhuang, China (9/09 – 5/10)
· Prepared and taught conversational English and English literature classes to freshman and sophomores in college.
· Cultivated an understanding of American culture and history for foreign students.
· Led “English Corner”, an extracurricular activity where students could practice oral English in a comfortable and relaxed setting.

Wolf Educator Intern, International Wolf Center – Ely, MN (5/09 – 8/09)
· Delivered indoor and outdoor Center programming, ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours, to large and small groups of diverse ages and backgrounds. 
· Interpreted wolf behavior and answered wolf and natural history questions from Center visitors and responded to inquiries by phone and e-mail.
· Assisted in program development for people of all ages with the express purpose of promoting knowledge of the wolf and our role in the preservation of its species. 

Visiting Teacher, Sayre Montessori School – Des Moines, IA (5/09)
· Prepared and taught an environmental science unit focusing on the Monarch Butterfly.
· Designed experiential education lessons, which enabled the students to get outside into the nature they studied and reinforce the lessons learned in the classroom.
