Experience including one-year as classroom teacher, and one and a half-years of student teaching and observations. · Personally developed curriculum for classroom instruction, along with personalized individual lessons. · Experience working with international students whose primary language was not English. Experience working in Korea for 8 months at SEI Language Institute. |

I would like to submit this letter of intent to be considered for the position of a teacher with your program. I am confident that this would be a great learning adventure where I would be able to immerse myself in another’s culture learning not only about others as I teach them and coexist with them, but also about myself as I am able to travel, explore, discover and experience the Korean culture by embracing an unfamiliar and exciting environment. I believe this to be a wonderful venture where I can contribute my valuable skills, knowledge and teaching experiences to support individuals who are interested in achieving English proficiency as they prepare to advance their educations or careers. I have taught a wide range of students: beginning level musicians to competition level musicians. My teaching experience has not only taught me about the need to modify lessons for students of all abilities as I challenge them and support them but also about the important role I play as an educator. I am open-minded and am committed to empowering my students as we learn from each other by developing a nurturing relationship that will support the growth, development and abilities of everyone enrolled. This unique opportunity would provide me with an avenue where I would be able to develop not only as a professional but also as an individual.
