Although I do not have formal teaching expeience, I Do have some private teaching experience with several Korean students of various ages from 4 to 22. I have also had a teaching component in several of my other jobs working with children and young people. Among these were the art and music classes I taught as part of the Upward Bound summer program in the United States

Hello. My name is Tabor Porter and I am seeking employment as an English teacher in South Korea.  This position would be a necessary step in my ultimate goal of being a TEFL certified English teacher.  I have been to Korea to visit my parents (who both currently work as English teacher in S. Korea) and found the country and work atmosphere to be charming and engaging.  As a child, my father worked as an English teacher in Japan and after we returned my mother worked as an International student coordinator, so I have life long experience communicating with children and adults who may not have English as their first language. Communicating with such people is a particular joy and skill of mine. I also have extensive experience in working with children. I have worked with children and young people in many different settings and I have a deep love for working with children and young people. I think this position will combine my skills of communication and love of working with children very well. I hope to have the chance to learn more about the Korean culture and language as well as improving the lives, and English skills, of the children or adults I work with.
