I am writing in regards to the posting for a dedicated full-time English teacher beginning the end of August or beginning of September 2010. I like working with children of all ages, but I do have a preference for high school, then middle school and then elementary. With seven years of teaching experience in Korea (4 years university) along with having taught all ages of students from little children through third year and graduate level university students at three Korean universities, extra-curricular programs, as well as adults and corporate executives in various fields, I would be a definite asset to your client’s  school.

In my resume you will see I have two diplomas, one in Arts and Sciences, and the other in Commercial Art. I have two bachelor degrees; a Liberal Arts B.A. with a minor in German from Augustana University (now a part of the University of Alberta) in Canada and the other is a Fine Arts B.A. with a minor in German from the University of Alabama in the United States (my family name was recently changed back to Kauss from Butler). As a way to enhance my professional development I have obtained TEFL certification as well as TEFL Business English certification from International TEFL Teacher Training (ITTT) and The International TEFL Corporation (TITC). I also have experience in teaching many facets of the English language from conversation to presentation and composition.  Additional specific teaching experience, references and verification of work experience from previous employers will be made available upon request.

 I am currently employed at Konyang University, in Nonsan, Chungnam Province, teaching first through third year university students in conversation and communication courses, English composition, presentation and job preparation courses. However, I have previously taught English in Korea from 1997 – 2003. I have also been teaching an assortment of other courses at Konyang University which include a graduate course on teaching teachers how to do and how to teach English composition at the middle school and high school levels, task based teaching instruction for the Intensive English Teacher Training Program at Konyang University, as well as corporate classes, the Early Morning English class and children’s camps during the semester breaks.

As a creative, resourceful, adaptable, innovative and dedicated professional who truly enjoys teaching, I would be a valuable addition to your team. Along with my previous experience teaching in Korea, being a student and teacher of various languages and talents, growing up in a multi-lingual and multi-ethnic society, as well as being very well travelled, I believe I would be a definite asset to your client's institute in many ways.
