Dear Director,
As I set to finish my first year of teaching this year on August 2010 in Suyu Middle School, I am motivated and determined to continue and further develop my teaching career this coming September. I am applying for the position of Full-Time English Teacher in a private institution.
There are many attributes of a good teacher. A good teacher is informative, organized, and enthusiastic. However, the great teachers are those who can stimulate your mind beyond the classroom. These individuals teach their students in creative and intuitive ways. These are the type of teachers which students respect and are eager to learn from. That is the type of individual that I strive to be when it comes to teaching. My goal is to fully reach each student¡¯s potential and to help them succeed.
Teaching was a shift in direction from my previous experiences. The experience I¡¯ve cultivated in the past focused more on leadership and professional endeavors. However, working for a Korean public middle school this year has given me the proper confidence and skill set in language instruction to accompany skills already acquired in my previous experiences. From these endeavors, I have learned how to not only teach my students the given material at hand, but also to instill the same passion for the subject in it as I share. Through a mixture of traditional and computer based learning, I set it as my goal to teach all students to the best of his/her abilities regardless of their level. It is my desire to be an effective teacher and to gain the respect of my students and colleagues alike. Such influence will live far beyond the semester or the school year, but will be definitely remembered for years to come.
The resume and attached documents outline my education, as well as my previous experiences in teaching and leadership environments. My enthusiasm and the extent of my qualifications cannot be fully described in paper. I look forward to speaking with you and hope that we can arrange an interview time at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your kind consideration.
Respectfully Yours,
Raymond
