To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Brittany Wagoner, and I am excited about the opportunity to teach English at your school this fall. As an ESL teacher in Korea for the past year, I have grown to love sharing the English language with young students. In fact, teaching has become one of my greatest passions. I have spent much time developing activities and materials that have proven to be very effective in my classroom. In addition, I am in the process of completing a 100 hour TEFL certification which I believe will further strengthen my abilities.
My love for teaching language and my fascination with the Korean culture are the two main motivations that fuel my desire to teach here. Throughout my past year in Korea, I have met hundreds of wonderful people and learned so much about the world outside of my home in America. Nothing that I have learned in college could have prepared me for the unique cultural experiences that I have had throughout my time in this country.
As a teacher in Korea, I currently teach around 80 students every week at an elementary English academy. The students I teach range in levels from fluent to beginner. During class, I sing, dance, read stories, create summaries for comprehension, and engage the students in interesting English conversations. However, I do not only teach in the classroom, but I also create new materials and facilitate testing for new students. Through these things, I have learned to become very innovative and can adapt to different situations with ease.
I hope that you will give me the opportunity to teach in your school. I would love to return to Korea this fall to continue doing what I enjoy the most: teaching English. Please review my resume (which has been attached to this letter) and contact me with any questions you may have. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Brittany
