To Whom It May Concern:
I am very interested in obtaining a challenging position in the educational field.
I am in the beginning stages of my career and would like to focus in Elementary Education and Secondary Education. I have an Undergraduate Degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida (2007) and am currently a certified teacher in Florida.
I have recently been learning about the Korean culture and am very curious to learn more about it. I am ready for a change of culture and want an adventure to help me learn more about it. I believe that teaching in South Korea would be an eye-openning experience and cannot wait for a good oppurtunity to come.
Working through college afforded many opportunities in both the education and business communities. I have worked extensively with pre and school age children all of my life. Working with children has always brought me much enjoyment and fulfillment. At a young age I volunteered in a preschool and babysat – saving enough money to finance a three-week trip throughout Europe. I have explored many different cultures and utilized my Sociology degree to gain an understanding of the current and next generation.
While at the university I was selected to intern at the Pepin Academy, a charter school in the Tampa area. One of the main focuses of the school was dealing with the special needs of young teenagers with autism. This experience helped me to understand that special students have specialized needs in order to be successful in their educational experience.
I am committed to strong values in continuing education and working on a motivated team to improve the overall educational experience for the students. I look forward to using my resources and organizational skills in a class of my own. My positive attitude and ability to work well with others would make me an asset to any school.
