The end of July will mark my one-year completion as an English tutor at the English language institute, Direct English.
Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼­ Dear Sir/Madam,

          It is with great interest that I enclose my resume for an English language teaching position with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. I have a Bachelor of Arts and Humanities in History and American Studies, and I have earned 80 hours of an on-line TEFL certification. In addition, this July will mark my one-year completion as an English tutor for Direct English in Seoul, South Korea. 
          During my time working as an English tutor I have gained valuable knowledge, skills, and experience, which make me confident in my ability to become a valuable member of your teaching staff. While the majority of teaching at Direct English is one-on-one, I also created lesson plans and managed group conversation classes several times a month. With both kinds of teaching experience, I am able to provide both individual and whole group support. I have instructed a variety of different students of different levels and from various backgrounds. As a result, I have become a compassionate teacher, who is sensitive to individual¡¯s unique needs.
          For my students, I developed and presented comprehensible and stimulating lessons that facilitated all learning styles. To help my students understand a grammar point, vocabulary, or concepts, I incorporated a variety of resources in our lessons, such as visual, audio, tactile, and kinesthetic. Other skills I have acquired include conducting pronunciation and accent clinics. 
          I believe that by helping my students to learn English, I am giving them a tool, which they can use to broaden, excel, or even change their life goals. As globalization continues to connect the world, the ability to speak English is becoming increasingly vital. My goal as a teacher is to foster a learning environment in which my students feel safe, secure, and appropriately challenged. To do this I offer positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep my students motivated.
