To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Adam and I am seeking employment in Seoul, South Korea as an ESL Teacher. I have one year¡¯s experience teaching in Seoul and am extremely excited to start a second contract. I love teaching and particularly like teaching in Korea.
From March 2009 to March 2010 I was employed by GDA Junior, a private ESL school in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul. In the morning I would teach my kindergarten class for 3 ¨ö hours and then teach various levels of elementary school students in our afternoon program. In kindergarten I was responsible for teaching English via math, science, and social studies topics. We would be given a monthly theme and I would be responsible for creating lesson plans around those themes. My previous school did not have a set curriculum so I was often responsible for planning classes from scratch, including designing my own teaching materials (worksheets, games, activities, etc.). It was a valuable experience for me and I have learned how to be adaptable in a classroom as well as how to design my own lessons.
I simply love being in the classroom and working with the students. I have found teaching to be the most rewarding job I have ever had. I work very hard to see my students progress because I am very invested in them. I find that the harder I work to help my students the more rewarding my job tends to be.
My previous employer was very happy with my work and offered me a second contract. I had an excellent relationship with all of my students and their parents.
I am certain that my experience combined with my love of teaching and life in Korea would make me an employee at your school.
I am currently in Korea and have all the documents necessary to acquire an E-2 Visa very quickly.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Adam |
