I have a degree in Education from Lakehead University, and I am certified to teach by the Ontario College of Teachers.
I have been teaching for almost 7 years for the Peel District School Board. This school board is located just outside of Toronto, Ontario.
I have 1 year of experience as an occasional teacher. I taught all elementary grades, from Kindergarten to Grade 5.
I have 4 years of experience teaching Grade 1 (these students are 5 to 7 years old).
I have 2 years of experience teaching Grade 3 (these students are 7 to 9 years old).
I taught English in China in a 4 month summer program. I taught children from ages 4 to 18, as well as adults.
Last summer, I taught English at a 2 week summer camp in South Korea. The age of my students was 10 years old. |

Dear ESL Agent,
I am seeking a position as an English teacher in Seoul, South Korea. I thoroughly enjoyed my teaching and travel experiences in Asia and I am excited about the possibility of returning to further improve my teaching skills. It is for these reasons that I write to you, so that I may be considered for a teaching position through ESL Agent.
I am a teacher who has worked for the Peel District School Board for over 6 years. I have lots of experience working with elementary school children. I worked with children aged 5 to 6 for four years, and I currently teach 8 year olds. During this time I have successfully developed programs that facilitate learning through the use of poetry, songs and games.
My experiences teaching English as a Second Language, as well as my travels around the world, have helped me to become an adaptable person who values and respects differences. I have learned that every person in our diverse society comes from varying backgrounds that differ in culture, religion and values. I can appreciate the fact that every individual has been shaped by their own life experiences. Therefore every child learns and adapts differently. Through the unique opportunities that I have had, I have become a person who is receptive and sensitive to each child’s individual needs.
