Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ To whom it may concern,

After great deal of research I have found that your company has a good reputation both within Korea and abroad.  I am very interested in working with you to find a position that will allow me to develop my skills as a teacher.  I am currently living in South Korea and am looking for a teaching job.  I completed my Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of Mississippi in 2009.

I've had the privilege of working with children between the ages of 2 to 15.  I worked at a daycare where I was responsible for taking care of all the needs of the children.  I was responsible for maintaining a controlled and pleasant atmosphere which facilitated their social development while encouraging their individual growth.  My duties included ensuring their safety both in and out of the classroom.  I was responsible for developing a comprehensive curriculum from the ground up.  It was both exciting and encouraging to help them begin their educational journey.  I also had the opportunity of working for Ding Ding Dang in Daegu.  From that experience I was able to develop my teaching skills while implementing Ding Ding Dang's unique educational approach. I learned to work within the boundaries of an established educational curriculum.  I was required to develop daily lesson plans, which took into account the specific challenges faced by students within the Korean educational system.  It was particularly rewarding to see students responding to activities which introduced them to Western culture.  I was able to draw on the experience of both the foreign and Korean teachers in order to improve my classroom teaching techniques.

I love working with kids and I understand the way they think and learn.  I treat children in a mature and respectful manner.  I am passionate about linguistics, particularly the way the language breaks down to its basics and the way others learn it as a native or foreign language.  Being tri-lingual I understand both the difficulties and complications of learning a second or third language.  I believe my experience in this area allows me to empathize with the students.  As an easygoing person I adapt well to change and enjoy the challenges of learning to live and work in a different culture.

I know that I would be a valuable asset to your organization and I hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.  Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Rhiannon Black
