Dear Sir/Madam, I'm writing in regards to English teacher position you have advertised. I am a Korean-Australian, currently living in Seoul, working at an elementary school. I have lived and studied in Sydney for more than 16 years. My resume that I have attached has detailed description of my past work experiences and educational background. After completing diploma of Music- audio technology at Australian Institute of Music, I moved on to study Digital Media at University of NSW in order to further my studies in the media field. After graduating from the course I have decided to visit my motherland to gain more knowledge of its cultures and its lifestyle. I am planning to study further in Master of Teaching in few years time, but during my time in Korea I would like to spend it as worthwhile as possible, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to work with you. I have great interest in working with children, and as the oldest in the family I have a life long experience in looking after my younger siblings. My latest experience in an elementary school, and Worwick Franklin College in Bundang as a 5-year-old kindergarten teacher has proved my ability to not only work with children but create a special bond with my students. Through teaching English in Korea, I would like to share my experiences of living in a multi-cultural country, motivate my students, and help them receive the kind of education system that I grew up with in Australia. I believe this experience will allow me to discover my hidden talents as a teacher and I will be able to pursue a more challenging role in the future, hopefully with you. As I have mentioned earlier I am planning to study, in the near future, Master of Teaching to become an Early Childhood teacher in Australia. I have great interest in teaching younger students, but I am confident in running effective classes to fulfill the needs of students of all ages. I have not decided when I would return to Sydney to start my studies in Teaching, but I am more than willing to stay at least a year to gain experience and knowledge in the education field. If I feel a strong desire to continue in the field after a year, I would also consider transferring to a university in Korea in order to continue my job.
