Dear Sir or Madame,
I am very interested in the teaching positions that you have advertised on your website, particularly those in Busan, as I am hoping to move to Busan in the near future to start a teaching career.
I will be moving to Busan with my long-term partner and we would both like to work in Busan, although we do not require a job or accommodation together. We are both highly flexible and have no preference over what age group we teach or the type of school we apply to. I understand the down side for schools and recruiters taking on couples coming to Korea, but I hope you will be prepared to give us a chance as we are an extremely stable couple who plan to get married on our return from Korea.
1. We are mainly interested in Busan as we have a number of friends who have settled in the city and we would like to join them. We do not mind what area of the city we live in.
2. We will be able to travel to Korea mid or end of June
3. We have all of our visa documents ready apart from our criminal records check which we have requested and are waiting for. We expect these to be returned to us by early May. It should then only take a further few days to get an Apostille stamp.
Since I began looking into moving to Korea over a year ago, teaching has gradually become part of my long term career plan. I would love to work in an environment where I can see a direct correlation between my own enthusiasm and hard work and the abilities and enthusiasm of the people I am working with. I feel that teaching is the perfect opportunity to make a beneficial impact on the education and therefore life of children through my own passion, dedication and hard work. I believe that fostering an enthusiasm for a subject within a child is key to their success within that subject. I feel that this requires encouragement and support in order to give the students the confidence to put forth their own ideas, as I have found this to be the most effective way of learning.
I would make certain that I took into account the abilities of all pupils in order to ensure that each of them maximizes their potential. Although this can be a challenge, I would ensure that I used various techniques, allowing pupils to progress at their own rate without allowing classes to become stagnant. Using activities in class will be an important way of identifying higher and lower level pupils and therefore ensuring that they each get the level of teaching assistance that they require.
