I've been in the classroom before, I finished a 5 month long internship at Skyline Highschool in Dallas, Texas. At this hishschool I worked under a mentor teacher(Mr. David Kelley). This was in the fall of 2008, it was through my University before my graduation. First I observed my mentor teacher, then I eventually took over the classroom. There were 6 classes with over 30 students in each classroom. I was in charge of attendance, making lesson plans, grading papers, etc. I was given the responsibilities most teachers have to deal with in a classroom. My minor was in Secondary Education at the University of North Texas, for this minor I attended many teaching classes. These classes did help me, but I believe that I learned the most throuh my internship with Mr. Kelley. The class that I taught was Advanced Placement United States History. It was a very rigorous class and the students were pushed very hard academically. The class I taught was a highschool classroom, but I am open to teaching children of all ages. I am very interested in Korea and the culture you have to offer. I am loyal to my work and very passionate about visiting Korea.
Thank You,
John |
