Although I have no prior specific teaching experience, I really enjoy being around young people. I babysit for my 6 year old niece on a weekly basis, she is very energetic and I enjoy looking after her and having to come up with ways to keep her entertained and occupied. I also volunteered to teach reading skills to infant school students when I was at high school, which was something I really enjoyed and found rewarding. |

Dear Sir/Madam,
In support of my resume, I would like to briefly introduce myself. I am 27 years old and from the United Kingdom. I would like to obtain a teaching position because I feel being a teacher is one of the most challenging, enjoyable and rewarding careers anyone can have. Through my teaching career I hope to use my abilities to help improve the English language education of my students to help them in their future lives, build a professional career as a teacher and help contribute to the high reputation of my school.
The reason why I would like to apply to teach in Korea rather than elsewhere in the world is due to the deep interest I have always had in Korea. I have researched all I can about the country, its culture, food, customs and traditions and I would love to experience the country for myself. It is my hope that with hard work and determination I will be able to develop a long-term career teaching in Korea.
I believe both my degree and my professional experience will be an invaluable aid to help educate Korean students; this is because I have had extensive experience in learning and analysing the best way people learn, in addition to a background in knowing how to develop and improve individuals through learning programmes. To further support my theoretical teaching knowledge, I have also recently completed a TEFL certificate course and I am currently progressing with the Cert. TEYL qualification, a course that specialises in teaching English to children and teenagers.
I am a very hard-working individual and would work with great enthusiasm and determination to help my students achieve success. I understand that the role of a teacher also holds a great deal of responsibility, so I would ensure I carry myself with respect for my surroundings knowing that I am representing my school.
Outside of work I enjoy sports, keeping healthy, mountain walks, visiting new places and meeting new people, dining with friends, watching movies and reading books.
