It is with great enthusiasm I submit my resume in consideration for a postion as an ESL Teacher with SMOE.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art 2D from Brigham Young University Hawaii.

I have worked in Korea for the past 4 years. I have had hands on experience working with people from the ages of 7yrs-40yrs. Who have all has the desire to learn the English Language.

As a result I am a compassionate teacher, who remains sensitive to the unique needs of each invidual student, who has learn't to adapt to Korean culture and Lifestyle and understands the education system here in Korea to know how to intergrate multicultural units by offering positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and movtivated.

One of the most effective ways I assist all ESL students is by researching, learning and planning stimulating lessons to accomodate students of all learning styles. I intergrate literature, Phonics, Wiriting, Reading, Listening, Speaking, using Visual and Audio activities. I maintain an honest, communicative and supportive classroom who encourages students to never be afraid of using the English language. To try and try again until theybuild their self confidence with the English language.

I have grown up learning 5 different Languages. I understand the difficulties of learning another language. I have seen from first hand experience the challenges of learning a Language and not having the confidence to stand up and speak the language. Yet I have also seen the success of overcoming those challenges and I use my own personal experiences when teaching English to ESL students here in Korea. It is an important tool that keeps me going as an ESL teacher here. It's an important tool of being an ESL Teacher here in Korea to encourage all the students I teach to continue on and carry on for what seems difficult at first will one day become second nature to them.

I would love the opportunity to widen my ESL Teaching experience here in South Korea teaching in the SMOE system. I have heard nothing but great things about the program. I hope that I can be a valuable asset to your school district.
