Dear Sir or Madam,
In response to your search for an English teacher, I would like to submit my resume and information for consideration. You will find that my credentials, experience, and passion for teaching combine to produce an ideal candidate for the position.
I was born in Korea and was adopted by an American family at six months of age, meaning I am eligible for an F4 visa but a native English speaker. My university degree enabled me to study a variety of disciplines; however, one area of focus was English literature and writing-intensive courses, in which I consistently performed at the top of my class. I have spent my adult life working with children in many capacities, including summer camps and cultural workshops as well as formal teaching.
I have sought to challenge myself in every job I have held and adhere to a strong work ethic. Any time my job duties grow or change, I am quick to adapt, whether that involves learning a new task or rearranging my schedule to perform with maximum efficiency. As I truly believe that learning is not confined to the classroom, I always take the initiative to interact with students outside of their formal lessons and encourage them to apply their studies to ¡°real world¡± situations.
When my current contract ends in April, I will have completed more than 1,300 actual teaching hours at a private English academy in Korea; I will be available to start work for your institution in late May. I currently live in Jeollanam-do and can easily travel to Seoul to begin the interview process. I look forward to hearing from you regarding employment.
Sincerely,
Noelle Miller |
