Employment History
ULS: Yuseong, Daejeon, July 2007 to Present
English Teacher: I teach University Student, business people and other adults, English conversation. The student’s English levels are between moderate to advance. I teach the student conversation, pronunciation, articulation, diction and free talking. Most class use a book, but the school is in the process of designing our own books, which I am one of several teacher helping in this process.
ULS also sends me out to a couple companies and one winter camp to teach.
Hankook Tires Co. R & D facility: Jang-dong, Yuseong-Gu, Daejeon: March 2008 until present
I teach company employees: writing, grammar, pronunciation, idioms, reading, speaking, listening, articulation and diction. I have been working at the company for almost two years, because the employees have come to like my style of teaching.
LG Chemical: Jang-dong, Yeseong-Gu, Daejeon: August 2008 until January 2009 and again August 2009 until November 2009.
I taught the company employees: Business English, conversational English, and free talking. I have been sent out twice to the company and do expect to be sent out again, because several of the employees and I have keep in touch, and meet every once and a while.
Daejeon University Winter camp: Deaheung-dong, June-Gu, Daejeon: January 4, 2010 to January 22, 2010.
I taught intensive English, negotiation in buying, science and cooking to Elementary student in three week session. The students were at a lower level in English speaking. I taught a 90 minute class time be myself and keep the student under control.
Hi Institute: Gwan jeo-Dong, Seo-Gu, Daejeon, September 2007 to November 2009.
English Teacher: I taught Elementary and Middle school students; the student's levels are varied from low level beginner to high level advance. I am taught reading, writing, pronunciation, debate and speech.
I taught debate classes, by having the students write six sentences for homework. They needed to give me three sentences why something was good, and three sentences why it was bad. In class, two students would come to the front of the room, pick which side they wanted and tell me their reasons. The student with the best answers won the debate.
For pronunciation, I had the students learn and remember lines from rhymes and songs. I would download movies where the rhyme or song is spoken or sang, and play it for them. I would replay it for the student so they could speak or sing along with the video.
Pro Institute: Dae Duck Dong, Daejeon, December 2005 to August 2007.
Head English Teacher: I taught kindergarten through high school students; the students were at Low level beginners to middle level advanced. I have taught classes in essay writing, English literature, listening, speech, drama and pronunciation.
Daeryong Elementary School: Dae Dong, Daejeon, March 2005 to June 2007.
After School English Teacher: I taught in an after school English program for this public elementary school. The students were at a low to high beginner level. I taught phonics pronunciation and reading to the students.
YTN Television recorded and aired a segment of me teaching my class at Daeryong Elementary School.
ECC: Yucheon-Dong, June-Gu, Daejeon, November 2004 to December 2005
English Teacher: I taught kindergarten through middle school students in basic to advanced English. I taught a strict curriculum at a fast pace, making sure that all the students would have some understanding of what was being taught to them.
Ann Arbor Public Schools: Ann Arbor, Michigan, January 2004 to November 2004
Substitute Teacher: I taught kindergarten through high school in all subjects: English, math, science, students the lesson that was set out to be taught for that day.
