I am interested in applying for an English teaching position on the kindergarten to elementary level in Seoul, S. Korea. As a 2009 graduate of Messiah College, I have earned a Bachelors Degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy.
I have experience working with young children. I have taught Sunday School classes to three year olds at my home church for three years where I helped teach Bible study and sing a long lessons. While in college I also worked at a daycare center at a local church performing the same duties.
Once graduating college I had the opportunity to go to Korea to learn about my heritage and language. I studied for six months and completed two semesters of Yonsei University¡¯s Korean Language Institute program. During my time there I made various friends who were currently teaching English in Seoul and became very interested in this experience to further my interest in my Korean background and culture.
It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to either a public school or hagwon. I would welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.
