I would like to thank you for your consideration of my application. Teaching abroad has always been a dream of mine. I have spent countless hours researching different destinations throughout the world; Seoul has always been my primary choice and seems to be a perfect fit for me. The metropolitan setting appeals to my desires for living abroad. The Korean culture has fascinated me for quite some time. I anticipate helping your students just as much as your country will be helping me.
Since graduating from Saginaw Valley State University in December 2006, I have spent a significant amount of time as a substitute teacher in the Croswell-Lexington school district. Throughout my time there, I held four long-term positions, two of which were with first grade students. Additionally, I spent time helping students learn to use computers. I also taught an eighth grade English class. Although I am strong in each of these subjects, art is my specialty and passion. My love for art has complemented my teaching abilities in all other subjects as well. The lessons I create have an angle that helps to present the material in a way that is captivating for an entire class.
I am confident I would thrive in a diverse environment; my travels through life have left me very open to experiencing new cultures and environments. I am looking forward to working with your organization. |
