To Whom It May Concern:
I am very excited at the possibility of teaching in Korea. I love the idea of impacting people’s lives in a very positive way! My teaching experience includes almost 2 years of substitute teaching as well as 1 semester of being a laboratory assistant at the University of Indianapolis. I thoroughly enjoyed all interaction with my students, as it gave me a sense of pride and accomplishment to watch these children grow right before my eyes. While my current job is rewarding, I do not think that anything can touch the feeling you get when you see your students excel in life. I like the challenge of learning about each student and figuring out how to make a true connection with them. I remember what it was like to be a student and I think this is what it takes to make a great teacher.
I have been doing engineering work for a medical devices company for the last 5+ years, which has helped me realize that I want to be on the front line touching people’s lives. My current job requires me to work closely with our manufacturing personnel, many of which do not speak English as their primary language. Over the years I have honed my skills and learned how to thoroughly, clearly, and accurately convey my expectations. In the process of training our operators, I have gotten to know each and every one of them. I have a great working relationship with everyone in the office due to my positive, can-do attitude. I am a strong communicator and an enthusiastic, patient, and understanding teacher. I have a positive outlook on life, an insatiable thirst for experiencing all this world has to offer, and a strong dose of common sense. I am extremely creative and can offer your students classes that are unique, interesting, and fun. I know I have what it takes to be a successful teacher and mentor to all of my students.
