I am a 22 year old Australian student with a desire to learn and travel the world. I have just completed my Bachelor of Psychology and have been offered an honours position which I have deferred in order to travel and earn an income to pay of my debts.
I hope in the future to obtain my masters or doctorate with a focus in cross-cultural psychology so that I may research cross-cultural relations and mind to open the parameters of the discipline to include a broader range of cultural discourses.
The orient has always interested me greatly, especially in regard to psychological practice. There are such great and interesting cultural differences between the East and the West and so I would expand my mind and be continually stimulated, discovering new and exciting ideas and concepts. Korea offers me all this while still being a modern and industrialized state with adequate infrastructure and technology so my career and profession will not be hindered. It is an ideal location to branch out from and explore the Orient while being immersed in a new and exciting culture.
