Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼­     I am a hard working individual with a strong belief in the importance of education. From my own experiences at school I developed a keen awareness of the influence that good teaching can have. My thirst for continued education comes from the commitment and dedication that I saw in some of my own teachers and I hope to impart this same desire to learn upon any students that I have the opportunity to teach. I am eager to understand and accommodate other cultures and in no doubt as to the importance of language in allowing this understanding to come to full fruition. I therefore see teaching English as the ideal way for me to build a bridge which allows me to cross in to greater understanding of the society that I am living in, whilst offering students that same opportunity in relation to the English speaking world. As well as studying Japanese I have also recently joined a Taiko group and started Kendo classes. I am an active person and I enjoy swimming, cycling, going to the gym and playing soccer. Unfortunately these activities have been largely unavailable to me in my present location and are some part of my motivation for re-entering the job market.
I am offering my resume by way of seeking new employment commencing at the end of the current academic year in March 2010.  I am presently employed as an ALT in Gunma, Japan, working in a Junior High School from Monday to Thursday and two Kindergartens twice a month each, on alternate Fridays. I would prefer not to leave my present position before the end of the academic year because I do not want to disrupt the learning of the students I currently work with. I have been in this position since early October 2009 and I have received an extremely positive first performance review. The schools are very keen for me to stay on, but I find the location frustrating as there are no facilities such as a gym or swimming pool within reasonable travelling distance and I have very little opportunity to make friends in my locality. I have a considerable amount of solo teaching experience. I also hold a CELTA Pass B, which I achieved in August 2009 at Saxon Court Teacher Training in London.
     Through my work history and training, both prior to Japan and since arrival, I have experienced teaching students from as young as 3 years old, all the way up to older adults. I consider myself a very adaptable person and am comfortable teaching any age group. I have especially enjoyed working with pre-school age learners where my energy and enthusiasm has been received very well by both children and colleagues alike. However, these are two qualities that I believe are essential to successfully teaching any age group and the foundations upon which I build all of my teaching. Every age group has its advantages, whether it be the developmental importance of compulsory education years (as well as extracurricular involvement; I am an active member of soccer club at my present school and take responsibility for training after school) or the opportunity to construct a more level grounded relationship with older learners (who are often also the most committed students).
    On top of all of this, I also have a fervent desire for personal development. I am keen to build on my experience and take up any training opportunities that may be available, so that I might continue to improve and become a better teacher.
