My name is Marley Pulbrook and I am writing in response to your advertisement seeking English teachers in South Korea.
As you can see from my resume I have strong experience working with school age children and young adults. In my role as a student ambassador, I had to give mini presentations about the university to year 10,11 and 12 students. These presentations required being able to maintain the students interest and know which things would be interesting to them. I think this is an essential skill if I were to teach English to students who might be at first be overwhelmed by what is a very different language to their native tongue.
I also have strong experience in private tuition. I have tutored, on a numbered of occasions, psychological statistics some of which can be very complicated. I think this experience and skill is essential as an English as a Second Language teacher.
Finally, my skills in written English are just as excellent as my verbal communication skills. I was able to complete a 15,000-word thesis in psychology and achieve First Class Honours. I think these skills of understanding how to write English clearly and succinctly is essential for an English as a Second Language teacher.
