To Whom It May Concern:
I am interested in applying for a position teaching English at a hagwon or public school in Seoul. I've already been living in Seoul for a little over a year and now have no intention of leaving anytime in the near future. Korean culture has long been an interest of mine, and by teaching English abroad I feel as though I've really become an active participant in Korean language, culture, and traditions.
My extensive experience (as displayed in my enclosed resume) and passion for work with young people is more than suited for this position, and my ability to think creatively and outside of the box will serve as an asset to any classroom. I am open, honest, personable, and a very hard worker. I know how to have a good time while maintaining appropriate levels of respect and professionalism. I cant wait for another opportunity to make learning English an exciting, fun, and interactive environment for all of my students.
My experience with the alternative teaching methods I learned whilst serving as a team leader at SuperCamp in 2005 has equipped me with the skills to mold my teaching methods to suit the students best learning styles. I know a wide range of memorization, focus, and studying techniques that will make for a more efficient and well-rounded classroom.
Currently, I've been teaching mostly kindergarten students, and I've never loved a job more. I'm willing to teach almost any age level, but I definitely have a passion for younger learners. Everyday I'm learning something knew about how to teach English as a second language, and thus everyday I'm becoming a better teacher. I hope that I can continue the growth process at your school.
Thank you for your time. I hope that you strongly consider my application, and I look forward to speaking with you within the next few days to discuss this further.
Sincerely,
Jenny |
