I am a recent graduate of San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in the Social Sciences including degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice. I feel that I have the necessary skills to help excel in a teaching position. The majority of my coursework dealt with advanced research through various methods as well as dealing with legal issues and public policy while simultaneously presenting and teaching this information to a medium sized class of students. I was also an afterschool tutor for elementary school students and helped them with math, English and social studies. I have the ability to coordinate and plan helpful lessons that would be both fun and interesting for the students, this experience coming from endless PowerPoint/data presentations and side jobs as a tutor.
My communication skills are second to none because of my job experience and educational background. I have been working in customer service since the age of 15 and have learned to tailor my language and reasoning skills to adapt to any situation. This would be a valuable asset in any teaching job. Nothing would be better than utilizing my coursework, background, skills and knowledge to help teach children.
