Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to apply for the post of a kindergarten teacher. I am a creative and hardworking teacher with great enthusiasm in working with children. I am very friendly and I enjoy teaching children.
I graduated from Kingston University with a BA degree in English Literature, Language and Linguistics. I recently completed the Trinity TESOL course at Bloomsbury International in London. Soon after graduating I knew I wanted to teach abroad. With an English degree I was able to secure a teaching job in South Korea.
I worked at Cardiff Language School, a private institute in Seoul for three years where I taught elementary and middle school students. I did not have any prior teaching experience. I gained all my experience through my first teaching job from observing experienced teachers. Observing other teachers helped me immensely in developing my own teaching skills and how to motivate and engage students in class. From that, I gradually learnt to plan my own lessons and make my own materials for class. In addition for a month I taught kindergarten students which was a great experience.
I am hoping to develop and further my teaching career in South Korea. I am interested in teaching kindergarten children hence the interest in your schools. My experiences in working at the nursery and the kindergarten made me realized that I want to teach young children especially children aged 3 – 6 years old. The first teacher a student will meet is the kindergarten teacher so it is very important that the kindergarten teacher teaches the language correctly in order for the student to learn the language efficiently. I am positive that I am able to use my skills to create an enjoyable learning experience and friendly environment for the children to say their first word in English and to continue to create a welcoming and approachable atmosphere for them.
