I have a BA degree, and my majors were Sociology and English. I also studied Communication science while at university. I am TEFL certified.
Upon completion of my TEFL certification I taught for as many hours as I was able to at the language school where I gained said certification in order to gain as much varied experience as possible. During this time I taught middle, high school, and adult students from different countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
In my first year in Korea I taught primarily elementary, middle school and some high school students with a strong focus on grammar, vocabulary, phonics, and analytical reading. I also taught many adults in one to one situations with a strong focus on free talking (conversation).
In my second year in Korea I am currently teaching kindergarten, and Elementary students. My experience of teaching students of almost every ages, and at every level has taught me how to be aware of the needs of said students at different levels, and change and adapt my teaching style accordingly

Hi, my name is Allan Lamb and I am a native English speaker from South Africa. I am 31 years old and I am currently in my second year teaching English in Korea.
I see teaching English as a long term career, and I thus intend to stay in Korea for several more years at least.
I worked for almost four years in the cell phone industry where I was responsible for managing a branch of the cell phone company that I worked for. This responsibility entailed the training of corporate clients in the use of cell phones, the sales of contracts to corporate clients, and the general day to day running of the business.
This work experience has instilled in me a sense of diligence and professionalism, as well the ability to conduct myself in a professional manner in a business environment. It has also taught me how to be aware of people's needs in a learning environment and to cater to them accordingly.
