Personal Statement
I became interested in ESL while taking graduate courses at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst Ma. While living in the graduate dormitory in 1995 I met many foreigners and Americans who had taught in foreign countries.
I didn¡¯t realize at the time how much I would like teaching. At this point I have been teaching for over ten years. For me a good lesson starts with preparation. I have taught all levels, ages, and areas of ESL.
I have taught in the U.S. and South Korea. I am currently working on my Master¡¯s in applied linguistics. Eventually my plan is to earn a PH.D.
It has been my experience that all schools do thing differently. I am flexible and adapt easily.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Sincerely,
Daniel Hoye

I am writing to you concerning the opportunity to teach for your school.
I first became interested in teaching ESL while taking graduate courses at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Massachusetts. U.S.A.
I have taught all levels and ages of ESL in South Korea and America. I have taught reading, writing, speaking, and grammar.
In The United States I taught advanced grammar for FLS at Dean College to university students in Franklin Massachusetts. It was a summer intensive course for advanced students from all around the world.
I have taught business English in which I developed my own curriculum.
I finished teaching at Sunmoon University in Asan South Korea as a full time Professor in August.
At Sunmoon University I taught Intermediate 1 conversation. My students ranged from freshman to seniors.
My philosophy when teaching is to correlate ESL with enjoyment. I also try to in still the advantages of learning the international language of English as a useful skill in the job market regardless of your field of study.
All schools do things differently. I am a flexible person and adapt easily.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
