To Whom It May Concern,
I have worked almost two year at a public school in Gwacheon city teaching K-6 graders as well as teachers. During this time, I have designed my own lesson plans to supplement the national English curriculum as well as planning for the summer and winter camps as well. Along with teaching children I also have experience in teaching adults. Every week, I also plan a teacher¡¯s classes where we talk about cultural differences and using that as my basis for teaching English to them. In addition to my teacher¡¯s class at school, I also volunteer at a North Korean refugee center and teach adult students there. And since neither classes have a set curriculum it allows me to experiment with different materials and methods to fully interact with them. As a result, they are very eager to learn and in turn, it makes me more eager to plan lessons for them.
Adapting and excelling in new places is something I can handle very well and something that would be of use in a new work environment. I think by being a good observer and learner, I can pick up and adapt quickly. I learn new things fast and I implement the things I learn just as fast! With a good attitude towards constructive criticism, I can further improve my teaching skills, which is what I¡¯m looking forward to do in the new job!
Like I said, I would love for the opportunity to interview for the position and learn more about this opportunity. Thanks for your consideration and hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Lucy Lu
