To whom it may concern,
I am a 27 year old female graduate from the University of Victoria. I hold a Bachelor of Art's Degree in Philosophy which I completed in July of 2007. I am very passionate about learning and teaching and have continued taking a variety of studies since my graduation. I took a 10 month course to learn about fine furniture woodworking. I've taken mediation and community conferencing training courses which help enable me to maintain peaceful relations in all areas of professional work. I've been attending monthly meetings about beekeeping so that I may better volunteer myself at a rehabilitation farm. And I've taken courses on Buddhist meditation which have created a more calm and pleasant mind within myself. I love to expand my mind and explore new ways of looking at things. My newest urge and learning desire is to teach abroad.
I am writing to you because I wish to become an English Teacher in Korea. I recently came across Dave's ESL Cafe in my efforts to find myself in a far away country. I have been researching and applying like a madman to potential employers and placement organizations like yourself and I am very interested in Korea because it provides the option of teaching in both private and public sectors throughout the country.
I am very eager to teach overseas because I would love to experience teaching abroad and gain perspective from living and working in a different country. I am very passionate about learning, teaching, and helping others to achieve their goals. I would love to teach abroad because I believe the experience would make me a more versatile and dynamic person. I also believe that teaching abroad would nicely round out my large array of qualities and abilities. I believe the experience would also help me to better fit in to a professional working role when I return to Canada, whatever that may be.
I believe I would make an excellent teacher in a foreign country. I am very patient and caring with both children and adults. I love working with others, however I am also very efficient on my own. I am very outgoing, very personable, and have yet to find a person who I do not get along with. I believe I am a wonderful and perfectly suitable candidate to add to any foreign school. I will most definitely give back in bucket full whatever I gain from this unique experience. I hope to speak with you at your earliest convenience to discuss any employment openings you may have.
