Dear Sir or Madam,
I have recently completed my second year of teaching in Korea and I will be ready to start my next contract on Monday the 11th December 2009.
I am currently seeking an after-school program to broaden my experience of teaching in a classroom. Eventually, I intend to become an elementary school teacher in the UK.
My experience includes one year doing "edu-tainment" at Seoul English Village (Pungnap-dong, Songpa-gu) and one year at DOCS Language School (Jungwha-dong, Jungnang-gu) which required more conventional, academy teaching with textbooks. This experience has increased my adaptability and creativity.
In the UK, I was formerly employed as a grocery store supervisor, where I developed many skills in communication, organisation and professionalism.
I believe that students learn better when they are motivated. I work hard to make lessons engaging and encourage an active learning style. I try to integrate educational games and activities into my lessons to promote participation and make learning the fun experience I believe it should be!
In my free time, I play musical instruments, compose classical music and run an 80-member group called Seoul Creative Musician Circle. I believe that my creative talents contribute to the effectiveness of my language teaching.
